If you've ever walked into The A-List office on a Friday afternoon and wondered why half the team is already talking about pickleball, bowling, karaoke, or where we're having dinner later, there's a reason for that.
At The A-List Malaysia, Fridays are for fun.
Working in the world of influencer marketing can get pretty hectic. One minute you're discussing a campaign proposal, the next you're coordinating talents, handling content approvals, chasing deadlines, or responding to clients. It's exciting, but it can also get intense.
That's why we started our Friday Fun Day tradition.
Some weeks we're on the pickleball court. Other weeks we're battling it out at the bowling alley, attempting to sing like professionals at karaoke, trying our luck at golf, racing each other in go-karts, or simply gathering over a good meal.
The best part? Nobody is talking about work.
Well... almost nobody.
Of course, every now and then someone accidentally brings up a campaign, a client, or something related to influencer marketing, but it usually lasts about thirty seconds before everyone goes back to arguing about who cheated during bowling.
These sessions have become something the team genuinely looks forward to. It's where new team members get to know everyone a little better, where inside jokes are born, and where people who spend all week working together get the chance to simply hang out as friends.
What started as a simple way to unwind has become a big part of our culture. Because while we're passionate about influencer marketing, we also believe that great work comes from people who enjoy working together.
And sometimes, the best way to build a stronger team has nothing to do with work at all.
Sometimes, it starts with a karaoke microphone, a bowling ball, or a pickleball paddle.
